I am a pro-market Eurosceptic. Who do I vote for in Ireland? There is no party that represents me. I wish we had a UKIP (or even a Tory party) in Ireland. But all we have are Europhiles and left-wing Eurosceptics (who have all the wrong solutions). There is no one to vote for.
I have no emotional attachment to the EU. If it is working for Ireland, good. If not, leave it. I think the Euro and the EU were leading causes of the Irish economic crisis that we are still paying for. I want to see the EU rolled back, and Ireland regain its sovereignty and control of its economy.
Who the hell can I vote for in Dublin? No one, it seems.

I blame the EU and monetary union for the Irish crisis. Joining the euro was clearly a mistake for Ireland. Indeed the euro looks like a mistake for the whole EU. And the Irish government made the taxpayer take on massive private debts to save the euro. But why save the euro? If the euro doesn't work, end it or leave it. If the EU doesn't work, end it or leave it. I have no emotional commitment to either.
But none of the main Irish parties are Eurosceptic. Instead they are going the other way, signing us into an increasing EU fiscal union as well as EU monetary union. Is there no party that will put Ireland first?

Congratulations America! And well done Obama - you aren't really as bad as your awful rhetoric. It is wonderful that he is dead and there will be no trial. It is wonderful that he had no funeral. It is wonderful that he is buried at sea, and, like the Nazis, he will have no grave. How much better it would be if stupid young men did not follow these ancient memes in the first place. If young men lived for pleasure, rather than following Islam, the world would be a better place.

I want to punish FF for bailing out Anglo Irish Bank, bailing out foreign bankers, bailing out foreign speculators, being unable to control our currency exchange rates and interest rates, never considering leaving the euro, massively increasing state spending in the later boom, being anti-Israel, and introducing the blasphemy law. Your complaints may differ, but we will all agree that FF has to go. But who to vote for? If only there was a pro-market, Euro-sceptic, anti-jihad, pro-Israel, libertarian party. There is a real gap in the market in Irish politics right now.

It will be great fun to watch this weak, gullible, yet patronising President finally get some real opposition. Americans realise they made a foolish mistake in that exciting campaign of 2008, but they can start to put it right now.
